Dark Chocolate Hummus

Did I just say chocolate hummus? You bet I did! This once savory treat has now turned sweet and is (in my opinion) delicious. It’s so simple to make and has just a handful of ingredients that are good for you! I’ll be honest, this isn’t for everyone but it is worth a taste! Dark Chocolate Hummus

Serves 6-8

  • 1 can Garbanzo beans (drained)
  • 3 tbsp Cocoa powder
  •  2 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp White sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup 2% Milk or Almond Milk
  • 3 tbsp EVOO
  • 1/4 cup Mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup Roasted almonds (chopped)

Put all ingredients except the chocolate chips and almonds in a food processor. Blend for about 1 minute on the low setting or until completely smooth. Place the hummus in a bowl and garnish with the chocolate chips and almonds.

Dip with:  graham crackers, pretzels, pound cake, mini rice cakes, etc.
